Description:
The three flag poles are situated in between the parking lot and the lighthouse. There are lots of flowers and shrubs to see as well as benches to sit on and info boards to read.

The land around the lighthouse helps show historical times by the placement of cannons and a monument, that look out towards the water. The lighthouse it self has greeted incomers since 1855. It is the 3rd oldest lighthouse in Nova Scotia.

The park surrounding it has a nice brick walkway that over looks the water as well as shades the way with huge old trees along the path.

This lighthouse once home for keepers and their families is now a museum and gift shop that is open daily to all that are intrigued.
