Public Gardens Park

Directions:
The park is located in the city of Halifax at the corner of Spring Garden Road and South Park Street. Parking can be found all around the city at parking meters or in downtown parking lots and then it's just a short walk to the main gates of the Public Gardens.

Description:
Halifax's Public Gardens are a great experience for people of all ages. The Gardens encompass a whole city block filled with colorful flowerbeds and many different types of trees from small to big.

The landscaping in the park makes this place ideal for young and old photographers alike.
There are many benches along the trails for people to rest on, and all the trails are very level and flat. This park has a magnificent bandstand and rows of benches for audiences. There is also a good size pond and fountains throughout the park. The Garden's are home to many feathered friends and there is duck food to buy around the park.

Many trails flow through this park, all around the edges of the park and meandering in through the middle. Most of the trees in the park have small descriptive plaques beside them telling visitors what type of tree it is and how it came to be in the park (such as who donated the tree).

This is a great place to take a relaxing walk, study under a tree or bring the kids to see the ducks.
