Description:
Halifax is a great city, lot's of shops, clubs and things to see and do. One of the best parts of this city is the beautiful Parks that it holds inside it's borders. Point Pleasant Park is just one of these great places and we spent one afternoon finding out why.
Point Pleasant Park has many trails that can lead you on a trip through the woods and to the beach or around the woods and to the beach. We didn't have enough time to check it all out but we did cover enough to get some nice pictures and we will go back again for more next time.
The trails are wide and well made, on hot summers's day you will find lot's of people walking their dogs in this park and enjoying the sunshine.
While walking through this park a lot of the area's history is shown through the stone structures and ruins that the trails lead you to and from. The park has several monuments, structures, and memorials for visitors to view while they explore.
Once you have had enough of the beautiful tree shaded walks you can explore the coastal edge where you are bound to see sail boats and cargo ships coming into and leaving the port of Halifax.
This is a beautiful park and should be enjoyed by all. There's plenty of spots to have a picnic, play with the kids, fly a kite or just about anything else you would like to do.
