Canning Look-off

Directions:
Take Exit 11 off Highway 101; turn right and head towards the intersection. At the intersection turn right again. Take the left turn before the Irving Gas Station and then proceed into Canning. Turn left at the monument and continue up the 358 North following the look-off signs.

Description:
The Canning look-off is located on the North Mountain and provides a spectacular view of the valley. From this perch visitors can see the waters and coast of the Minas Basin and the many farmer’s fields and apple orchids in the valley below.

With the easy car access of this look-off, it can provide many different views of the valley. During different times of the year the view from this look-off changes with the seasons and is always spectacular. Autumn leaves flood the valley with color, Winter brings a blanket of snow, Spring shows a great range of greens and summer allows for watching farmers work the fields far below.
